*Protecting Yourself from Spam Email *This is a helpful step to help gamers or visitors who may or may not get un-needed amounts of email known as Spam. You know the stuff, Penis enlargements, Viagra, Titty Web Cam sites, Porno, In Dept cash loan approvals and even Home mortgage approvals. I don't get the tie between sex and mortgages, but lets move on. Spam in all cases is not suppose to be this ridiculous and what the worse part is, It uses our bandwidth. The rudest Spam email Servers are the kind that don't even have the intelligence to remove broken or bounce back protected email or URL addresses and just keep banging away. Example would be like shooting pool with a rope :o). Having a website can bring on Spam if your not careful. Many Spam servers send these items out known as Spiders which search the Web looking for just email addresses on websites and return with huge list. Then these list can be sold to Spamming advertising servers. One way to protect yourself on a site is with your html code. This small script line breaks up your email name and makes it appear to a Spider like regular normal page html code.EXAMPLE
* Noticed the Bold highlighted areasSend Email is what appears on your page after saving the page you placed the above script into. Name is what comes before the @.character of your email name and the email server tag, Your.com is after @.
Make sure it is exactly as shown above after you paste it into your HTML code, within the HTML tags in the position you want it to appear. Make your changes to the code to reflect your own address and that's it. Be sure to test it by clicking the link it makes on your page after you finish. Now there are many ways to help prevent Spam and some are actually very ingenious and relatively easy to do. The biggest one is protecting your email name from being listed all over the web by your own doing. Try to get an email name just for them sites you know have no need to request it from you, for no reason at all. Forums and Guestbook are terrible and sites like this are gold mines for Spiders. Never post your email publicly at these places, reassure they have secured these list too. Throw away email names with all options blocked are very useful for just filling that email slot that a site will ask you for to fill. Some protections can even get nasty at Spam Administration by allowing them into the server and turning the search onto them. Scripts go into their email or IP information and then starts to feed the spider garbage. This Sends the spider on a wild goose chase, after that it gets told to return to you by the script for more, until it bottoms out or worse. The Spider will continue to gather and even start gathering Spam server emails too. This eventually gets the spider to turn on to the ones that allow Mass emails or it will even crash the Search Spider. These are called bounce back code scripts to overdose the spider invader. Be sure you know how to use and install these. The servers can get irritated at you, but you have the right to protect your privacy. Here are a few links that will give you a head start preventing your email name from being listed on Spam server engines or help fight off Spam, after the fact. All the links are very helpful and information is Always Free.SPAMMING THE EMAIL OUT OF SPAMMERS

Final Thoughts Now you have a good start on fighting off Spam and a few tips about the ways they find you. I added a few extra links that I also recommend. Links that I used personally and or had a good experience with their software. Plus, well satisfied by the services of the site. If I like it you bet you'll find it on RacelineCentral somewhere.
Keeping your visitors coming back starts with personal good information, responding to their need and not for their lap counter effect. If your a non profit site owner there is no huge reason to have mileage meters, cookies, etc... all over the place. But I am sure they do help in some ways if not used to exploit. Satisfying visitors is all we care about here, We also greatly appreciate the tons of email that acknowledges our help in compare. Support in both directions will be here always for those that need it most and whoever it may be.
In my journey around the internet I always look for items that will help me make my life and visitors lives easier. I look for the best of Freeware or Sharewares. The information is always available to search for anything, Just depends where to look. Ending with that, I will get into the good information your here for.
**Now this list I have for you is a listing already organized and certified by Spam indexing services (for example: Abuse.com) that record this information constantly. The where and who of Mass Spam ad emails do originate from many many places. These list when properly used are your best way to end the Spam source right at the root levels. This list I have for you can be copied as is into your email servers service's utility for DO NOT EXCEPT EMAIL FROM controls and make a major leap for your sanity. When you view this list, you'll see it all trimmed for doing as much blocking of Spam that can be possible. Server domains of Spamming Servers can be listed off this list and copied to your ignore list. No need to add anything else for example the @ sign in email. This is not used when correctly posting to your email block listings.
I highly recommend you get this list, view it and if Spam is in your life, put this list of names to work and load them all. If you have hotmail, enter the email options and clear your email block list and put these in. You will see a much more quiet place the next time you come to check your email.
I don't guarantee it will rid your life of Spam, but you'll be impressed at the results plus understand how to block many Spammers in less keystrokes. If your ready to see this Certified List... and beware there are many here, then just click this link below and we all can make email checking a lot less time consuming and SAFER!.

The Federal Trade Commission
receives about 300,000 samples of deceptive spam – forwarded by computer users –
each day, and stores it in a database. The FTC and its law enforcement partners
use the database to generate cases against people who use spam to spread false
or misleading information about their products or services. To better handle the
high volume of spam forwarded to the database, the FTC recently opened a new
email box – SPAM@UCE.GOV.
The old email
address (uce@ftc.gov) will be phased out.
The FTC’s spam database has served as the basis for FTC cases involving
pyramid schemes, money-making chain letters, credit card scams, credit repair
scams, bogus weight-loss plans, fraudulent business opportunities, and other
scams that were promoted via email.
Consumers who wish to forward
unwanted or deceptive spam to the FTC should use the
spam@uce.gov
address. Whenever you complain about spam, it's important to include the full
email header.
Consumers who think they have been taken advantage of by a
spam scam can file a complaint with the FTC online at
www.ftc.gov. Complaints will help the FTC find and stop people who are using
Spam to defraud consumers.
To learn more about how to avoid spam scams
and reduce the clutter in your in-box, check out
www.ftc.gov/spam.
Copies of the consumer publications about reducing
spam are available from the FTC’s Web site at http://www.ftc.gov
and also from the FTC’s Consumer Response Center, Room 130, 600 Pennsylvania
Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20580. The FTC works for the consumer to prevent
fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to
provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a
complaint in English or Spanish (bilingual counselors are available to take
complaints), or to get free information on any of 150 consumer topics, call
toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357), or use the complaint form at
http://www.ftc.gov. The FTC
enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft, and other fraud-related
complaints into Consumer Sentinel, a secure, online database available to
hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad.
